so yesterday for work we had a "team building" event. now how it can be a team building event, when we are broken up into smaller groups and are put into competition is beyond me... but thats what we did... a scavenger hunt around cary town in richmond.
it was pretty decent. it was at least a beautiful day so i got to be outside rather than at work.
and whilst walking down the street i ran into one of sarahs cousins sitting on a bench, so that was always cool.
one of the things we had to do was answer questions that we could find the answers to walking around the various shops.
ONE of the questions consisted of us finding like the two addresses of places or something and multiply the numbers together. the numbers ended up being like 1925 * 3398 or some other such huge thing like that.
no one wanted to handle it, so i picked up the paper and a pen and proceded to do some serious multiplication by hand whilst we walked down the street.
finally when i had my answer we went into a shop and i asked to borrow a calculator to double check my answer.
i was totally spot on! how's about that? not too shabby i don't think complex math while walking down the street.
